I never knew a soulmate could come in the form of a furry companion before you came into my life. From the moment we began our life journey together, I knew it was going to be a wild ride. While there are about a million memories I could reminisce on, I’d like to focus on the top 5 Boonie life lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my existence on earth until we meet again.
- Never wait on anyone to go on an adventure. While it’s fun to explore with friends and wait until you have been given permission to get out there, there’s nothing quite like a spontaneous jail break out of the mundane day to day and into a fun new experience.
- Eat as much good food as you possibly can. Enjoying all the flavors this world has to offer is one of its greatest pleasures and one that you should not deny yourself.
- Always be an opportunist. If there’s something you want out of life, get out there and snatch it up. Stop waiting for someone to hand it to you, even if that means swiping that burger right off of someone’s plate.
- Be persistent. Even if it annoys every single person around you, be loud, be bold, and never back down. You deserve everything you want out of life.
- And finally, love your people hard! Even if you put on a tough outer shell to the outside world, when you’re with your inner circle, let down your guard and love them with everything you’ve got.
Thank you for being the greatest snuggle buddy, copilot and teacher I’ve ever had. Thank you for escorting me out of my teen years, navigating my 20s together and seeing I’ve found my way as I stepped into my 30s. We may have never fully discovered all the mysteries of the booniverse together but it has been one of the greatest adventures of my life. You will forever be imprinted on my heart and I know with certainty our souls will travel together forever across all space, time and dimensions of this wacky universe.
